I help founders and investors open, run and improve schools that meet British expectations for teaching, safeguarding and governance.
After working in clinical neurology in the UK, I moved into education leadership. I've spent the years since building and running education organisations across the UK and the Middle East. I co-founded British Grammar School Erbil and lead Step Up Edu, which supports schools using the Oxford International Curriculum.
I work in English, Sorani Kurdish and Arabic, so I'm as comfortable in a London boardroom as in a ministry office in Erbil.
From feasibility and licensing through to opening day.
Staffing, timetables, duty rotas and budgets, run day to day.
Oxford International Curriculum and OxfordAQA, from Early Years to A-Level.
Induction programmes, curriculum training and ongoing CPD.
Board structures, investor proposals and financial models.
Attendance, pastoral tracking, grades and parent reports that staff will actually use.
British benchmarks for teaching, assessment and safeguarding, adapted to local regulation.
I work with ministries, parents and staff in their own language.
My medical and research background means decisions rest on data.
Systems and people that keep running after I step back.
Every school I work with is grounded in British values: mutual respect, the rule of law, individual liberty and tolerance.
A bilingual British-curriculum school in the Kurdistan Region. Enrolment grew by 300% in its second year, and the school is now in its third year of operation.
Attendance, pastoral reports and grades built on Google Workspace for Education.
